Ms. Khayat comes to Fieldpoint with more than 30 years of banking credit and risk experience, most recently from MBO Partners, a consultancy for which she was engaged on risk management assignments for banks ranging from $73B to $2T. Prior to that she was with Atlanta-based Cornerstone Bank (now Coastal States), where she served as chief credit officer and chief risk officer.

Ms. Khayat’s career spans virtually all sides of the banking experience. Having begun her banking career as a teller (among other roles) as a teenager with a Georgia-based community bank, Ms. Khayat’s first post­graduate role was a six-year tenure as a regulator with the Office of Thrift Supervision, serving as an examiner-in-charge. From there she went into residential real estate brokerage with Coldwell Banker, while also co-owning a real estate appraisal firm. She returned to the regulatory world during the great recession, serving as a senior examiner. From there, she moved into senior credit, risk and compliance roles with Bank of Atlanta (now Cadence), Georgia Commerce Bank and lberiabank (both now First Horizon).
